MegoKid Allergy & Atopic

MegoKid Allergy & Atopic for you! ® formulation is intended for use in conditions of allergy and atopic dermatitis and can be used in infants from 6 months after birth. Application is recommended in conditions of skin inflammation, itching, respiratory allergies and food allergies. It contains fish oil as a source of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids, black currant seed oil as a source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and vitamin D3. 2.5 ml of syrup contains a dose of 1g оmega-3 (EPA + DHA).

Children up to one year of age should be administered a dose of 1.25 ml per day and children from 1 year of age a full dose of 2.5 ml per day. It is recommended to apply for at least 4 months, and it is best to apply continuously for 6 months.

Blackcurrant seed oil contains 13-17% omega-6 gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). This makes it one of the richest sources of GLA. Its great advantage is that, unlike some other sources, it can be used from birth. It is rich in flavonoids, anthocyanins and ascorbic acid, which is an antioxidant.

The skin is our largest organ and as such has a number of important functions, such as maintaining a constant composition of the internal body environment, participation in gas exchange, synthesis of folate and vitamin D. It also has a thermoregulatory, protective and psychosocial role.  

The skin consists of several layers, thanks to which it performs the role of a protective barrier. The lipid bilayer in the skin by which the skin controls the loss of water and other important substances and prevents the penetration of pathogens is very important. The lipid bilayer consists of cholesterol, ceramides and free fatty acids. When the skin barrier is disturbed, lipid deficiency is associated with increased water loss, increased skin pH, pathogen penetration, and inflammation.  

A diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids is very helpful, according to numerous studies. The lack of omega-3 fatty acids is associated with the occurrence, but also with the intensity of the symptoms of atopic disorders. Omega-3, EPA and DHA are essential fatty acids, which means that they are not synthesized in our body independently, but must be ingested through diet or dietary supplements.

The first results of the application of a combination of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin D are most often visible after 4 months from the start of application.
